You know what they say: Lips are everything! (or was it chocolate!?) Ummmm Maybe chocolate! Anyway, let’s talk makeup! Lip colors, gloss and glitter, so many choices!

In my humble opinion, the secret to good looking, health lips is getting rid of dead skin and keeping your lips moisturized every day. Yes, EVERY day. Before you go to bed, scrub your lips with your favorite exfoliant, and apply a lip moisturizer. My favorite home made lip scrub is sugar and honey mixed together, I apply some and rub it on my lips for a minute or two. Sometime use a toothbrush used only for that purpose or just rub it across my lips with my fingers. Leave the exfoliant on for about five minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. Put on a little bit of Vaseline and go to bed. That simple!

Lip color gives your beauty a different shine and can accent your makeup in several ways. I always put on my lip color at the end of my makeup routine. I do it intentionally so as not to mess it up while doing my eye makeup or foundation, but also to notice the difference after my lips are done. It completes your look. Whether you have full makeup on or not, I feel lip colors make a statement.

I almost always prep my lips with a moisturizer before applying lipstick. Fersali Rose Gold Elixir is my go to. Make sure your foundation is set before you apply it, though. I use a tiny brush to go over the upper lip with a highlighter, draw my lips with lip liner, especially the corners, and finally apply the color on. For fuller lips, make sure you go around the lips one more time with a foundation brush, it makes your lips really pop! Long last makeup spray should be your last step, close your eyes and spray your face. Rose water is very moisturizing and is my personal favorite.

Some prefer matt colors others switch to glossy, I believe it depends on your attire and occasion. Others prefer to add some glitter. If you're a glitter lover, you should typically add it as the last step right before applying your long-lasting makeup spray. NEVER go a day without moisturizing your lips. In winter its most important as the weather is the harshest and your skin can get really dry and damaged. Keep your lips hydrated as much as you can and drink plenty of water, for glowing healthy skin and lips!
